The three finalists were chosen from six semi-finalists who performed with The Boston Pops on June 17 and 18. The Boston Pops High School Sing-Off invited talented vocalists from across the Commonwealth to send in audition tapes of their performances of pieces from the musical theater repertoire. Approximately 250 applications came in, and the field was narrowed to the top 22 soloists and ensembles, who then performed live in Symphony Hall on June 2. From those 22, the six semi-finalists were selected. The Boston Pops High School Sing-Off is sponsored by Fidelity Investments.
